addressing severe mental pain

Shame. Secrets. Anxiety. Loneliness. Maybe some of these things resonate with you and it has been difficult to find someone safe to process what has gone on in your life. Through shame resiliency, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, our specialists can provide the safety and comfort you need to consider exploring this area of your life.
Trauma is often one of those stigmatizing words, you know? We often hear clients say "what I went through wasn't as bad as what this other person went through." Or maybe something like "there's not a good reason for my eating disorder or anxiety, it's not like I've had anything bad happen to me."
We get it. Trauma may not be the word you use to describe the intensive emotion pain that perhaps you're often suffering with. Trauma often involves not only a threat to physical integrity, but also emotional integrity as well. Emotional abuse, bullying, psychological abuse perhaps in the form of gaslighting, emotional neglect, physical neglect...all these things contribute as well.
The thing is, we end up forming negative beliefs about ourselves or the world around us when these things become a pattern in our lives. Especially if you're someone who is intuitive and observant - or perhaps you've been told "you're way too sensitive."
These negative beliefs then end up following us around. Like a shadow we can see and experience, but sometimes it feels like no one around us knows what we're talking about.
We know what you're talking about, and you're not crazy. In fact, you're onto something and we want to help you get your life back. To get rid of those negative beliefs about yourself, to feel a sense of safety and confidence, to not just survive, but THRIVE.
